1890 opened as part of the strategic railway from Ulm to Mulhouse, intended to transport troops to Alsace without crossing Swiss territory
1953-55 Introduction of the rail-road bus
1955 route closed for passenger trains
1962-65 General refurbishment of the route by the NATO
1976 route closed to all trains
1977 route reopened for museum trains
2014 museum services provided by Blumberg rail operations
